Allen Iverson Biography
Toronto 106, Philadelphia 104
Imagine going a whole season without making a three pointer!! That's exactly what Chris Bosh did last year so he worked on his long range game over the summer and it paid off.
Bosh made a go-ahead three with 6.1 seconds left and finished with 29 points and 14 rebounds, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 106-104 victory over the Philly 76ers.
"It was an emergency situation,'' Bosh said, laughing. "Desperate times call for desperate measures. I was just trying to score. That's why I had the ball. I've been working on that and I've been thinking about that all year, and I didn't want to lose the game.''
A.I. aka Allen Iverson put up 35 points & 10 assists.
"I don't want to say that he just threw it up there because I have seen him make that shot before,'' Iverson said. "It was a good shot and those are the kind of shots you need from your star player to win basketball games.''
Toronto won despite shooting 40 percent. Philadelphia shot 49 percent and actually outrebounded the Raptors 53-45!
"That is the most frustrating part. We shoot 50 percent and they shoot 40 percent. We outrebound them and still lose by two,'' Iverson said. "That's tough and it's hard to say anything negative about us, or our performance, but when it is all said and done they got the win.''
